LA Museum of Holocaust:
Going to the museum of the Holocaust was very depressing but a learning experience. Throughout my years at high tech I would always learn about the Holocaust but not like this. We actually went to the Museum and talked to a actual survivor. Listening to her really made me think and it made me sad as well. I also felt happy for some reason because of how jolly and content she was. She is so grateful shes alive and she has so much knowledge, advice, and experience. In that time we had with her it was just something else. The story she told us and her emotions behind it was just real. The museum was great I did learn a lot and got a deeper learning, but the survivor interview was my overall takeaway.
Museum of Man:
Going to the Museum of Man was an eye opener. Our tour guide/teacher was great. Honestly he can be a high tech teacher. He taught us about racism and the history behind it. The way he taught us was nice he was so chill and understanding. He taught us about the equator and how people closer to the equator were dark and people away from it were lighter and that's how it started. He also said that we ourselves create racism within ourselves, if I remember. He also explained the science behind it as well, I wish I can remember it was so interesting.
Jewish Heritage SD:
The field trip to the Jewish heritage in SD was very informative, because there was so much information that I didn't know, like I didn't know that there was a big Jewish community in SD. Our tour guides were pretty cool, they knew what they were talking about and pushed our thinking when we all sat in a big circle to talk about what we learned. There was so much history in where I live that I did not know about and it was nice learning about it.
